Columbus’ 10 Most Expensive Home Sales of 2018

So, how did the real estate market in Columbus fare last year? Well, a total of 14,936 homes were sold, and 74 of them were over a million dollars. Here is how much the ten most expensive homes in all of Franklin County sold for last year.

1. $3.29 million

Leading the pack is an impressive 11,000 square foot Georgian mansion in Columbus, located at 212 Park Dr. Perched atop a hill overlooking neighboring Wolfe Park, this gorgeous property sits on almost four meticulously manicured acres. Completely renovated in 2001, this five bedroom, eight and a half bath estate was originally listed for $5 million in 2016. It sold in June of last year.

2. $2.7 million

This prime piece of real estate is located at 9 New Albany Farms Road, New Albany, in the private, gated community of New Albany Farms. Sold in March, it has 16,000 square feet of living space, eight bedrooms, and seven and a half bathrooms. The estate sits on over four acres of manicured gardens, complete with an outdoor entertainment area with a pool and hot tub. The owner’s suite even has its own wing on the main level of the home.

3. $2.275 million

This 8,200 square foot, six bedroom, seven and a half bath beauty sold in August. It’s located in Upper Arlington, just south of Henderson, at 3876 Rushmore Drive, Columbus. Sitting on nearly two acres of pristine landscaping, this Carl Helmuth home took over two years to complete. Details like cathedral ceilings, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, and Amish crafted woodwork are only some of the luxurious details in this home.

4. $2.225 million

Built by Kevin Knight, this 10,800 square foot riverfront property, is located at 3020 Scioto Estates Court, in Columbus. Situated on 1.3 acres, this pristine home has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Featuring Flagstone flooring and Scottish limestone, it’s even complete with it’s own boat dock and hoist for river access. It sold in June, but was on the market for a total of 2,754 days.

5. $2.2 million

Sold in May, it boasts six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, and is located at 10 Hawksmoor Drive, New Albany. The open design and expansive windows make this estate blend with nature exquisitely.

6. $2.15 million

This fabulous estate in the city was sold in March, and has over 7,600 square feet of living area, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Overlooking Schiller Park, it’s one of the most admired housed in German Village. 10. $1.9 million

Sold in October, this five bedroom, six bathroom brick and stucco estate has over 6,000 square feet of living space. Sitting on almost an acre, it took 224 days to sell. It’s located at 2371 Commonwealth Park S, Bexley. Totally renovated in 2017, it has nine foot ceilings, a floating stairway, a heated rear-loading garage, a chef’s kitchen, and a circular driveway.
